Paprika - If Only Nightmares Come True..

Paprika is an anime movie which take story about a beautiful therapist named Chiba Atsuko and a genius scientist Tokita Kosaku who work for a psychological institute. They invented DC Mini, a device which allow someone to see patient's dream. However, this prototype device has been stolen and the worse thing is that the dreams of all patients starts to merge, corrupting other people dreams, devouring human minds, and in the future all mankind will start to lose control of their mind.

Knowing a dangerous situation ahead, Chiba starts to investigate the source of the problem by entering her patients mind using her alter-ego, a cheerful girl named Paprika. With the help of Toshimi Konakawa (A police detective, which is also her patient) and Dr. Torataro Shima, they try to save people's mind from these terrible dreams and find the one who is responsible for all the trouble.

In my opinion this movie is very exceptional and different from other anime movie. Paprika has a deep and very intelligent story. It's not a childish anime movie like Naruto, Samurai X, Dragon Ball Z etc. but rather more alike to like Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis. In terms of graphic and storytelling, it is very artistic and have a compelling story which keep you thinking of how it will end. Moreover, I like the soundtrack of this movie, it was composed by Japanese electronic artist Susumu Hirasawa (I also included the link to the song below). In conclusion, if you like sci-fi movie, you should watch this movie even though you are not an anime lover.
